About the Trip

I joined the teens of St. Theresa Catholic Church from Douglasville, GA on a trip to Rome for WYD 2000. After the group left, a few of us stayed behind and traveled north to Venice. From Venice, I traveled alone to Turin, to see the Shroud, and then into France.
I’ll need to revisit this trip at some point. It was pre-blogging days, but it was very exciting and I have many stories to share. Just a few highlights… being completely alone with the Shroud of Turin and falling asleep on a train and waking up in a parked and empty car (not the only time that’s happened, actually).
It’s also interesting to mention that of those who traveled in our group, quite a few died early tragic deaths.
