Pope Francis in a Sindhi cap

The Papal Audience is back!

There’s always some excitement.

I went this week and the place was empty. It was not heavily advertised, and there are no tourists here yet.

As is often the case with the Audience in San Damaso Courtyard, anyone who wanted to meet and speak with Pope Francis had that chance.

One priest brought a traditional Sindhi cap for the pope. These are not affiliated with religion, but are a gift of respect from the Sindhi community – located mostly in Pakistan.

My video of the pope putting on the hat has nearly 4 million views on TikTok.
