Here are some photos I took of some powerful spots in Jerusalem, including the Rock of Agony, a 2,000 year old tree from the Garden of Gethsemane, the dungeon wall from the house of Caiaphas, the type of thorns used in the Crown of Thorns, and a first century tomb.

The images are free to download and use on your device.

Here’s some music from my dad to help with your Lenten meditations as well.

This is how they look on my iPhone…

Crown of Thorns

This is a shot of the type of thorns used to make the Crown of Thorns. This tree grows at Dominus Flevit on the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem.

First Century Tomb

This is not the empty tomb of Christ. But this is a first century tomb located inside the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, just behind Christ’s tomb. This is very similar to how His tomb would have looked.
