Sant’Anna in Vaticano
Designed by Giacomo Barozzi da Vignola, Sant’Anna in Vaticano is the official parish church of Vatican City State, its elliptical interior sitting just beside the Porta Sant’Anna gate and its Swiss Guard checkpoint.

Madonna dei Palafrenieri
Caravaggio’s Madonna dei Palafrenieri was originally commissioned for this church’s altar, though it was removed soon after installation and now hangs in the Galleria Borghese.
