Sant’Andrea della Valle
Sant’Andrea della Valle’s dome was historically the third-largest in Rome, after St. Peter’s and the Pantheon, and its 17th-century interior made it one of the great Counter-Reformation preaching churches of the historic center. It is also, fictionally, the setting of the first act of Puccini’s opera Tosca.
