Saints Peter and Paul Floral Carpets in Rome

Each year for the Feast of Saints Peter and Paul, different towns around Italy will decorate the street leading up to the basilica with floral art – many also use colored sand and saw dust – called infioratori. The artists work all night. By late morning or early afternoon, the wind and the birds will take everything away.
