The Catholic Traveler

Trip Giveaway

Entries are now closed. The drawing will be this weekend and the winner announced on Monday, April 13, 2009!

The Catholic Traveler is giving away a trip to Europe!

It’s super simple to enter and you can enter up to THREE times!

Please, please, please read all the information, before entering.

If you want to stay up to date on the contest, you may want to subscribe via RSS or email.

What You Win

The winner may choose to join any one of our 2009/2010 pilgrimages. There are a few exceptions, such as school trips (unless you are affiliated). Email me if you have any questions about a specific trip.

Depending on the trip, different things may be included. So, read through each of our trips and take your pick! The winner will get whatever is included in that trip.

It’s also important to note that the winner is responsible for getting to and from the departure city. So, if a trip departs from Atlanta, and the winner lives in Phoenix, the winner must arrange travel between Phoenix and Atlanta.

Who Can Win

This contest is open to anyone 18 and up.

Not 18? Have your parents enter for you! I do several school trips each year, and I do not want to exclude the students!

Not Catholic? You don’t have to be. Just keep in mind that these are Catholic pilgrimages with a priest, daily Mass and loads of Church history. As long as you can follow the Terms and Conditions of all my trips, you are welcome to join us!

Already booked on a trip with The Catholic Traveler? If you are already booked on one of our trips, you may still participate in this contest. However, if you win, the free trip does not apply to the trip on which you are currently booked. You may use the free trip on another of our 2009/2010 pilgrimages. Or, you can give the free trip to a friend to use on any of our 2009/2010 pilgrimages, including the one on which you are booked.

Want to sign up for a trip right now? If you see something you like and just can’t wait to sign up, any trips booked between Ash Wednesday and Easter Sunday ARE eligible for the contest. So, if you get your deposit in to me between now and Easter, and you win, the deposit will be refunded and the trip is on us!

Rules and Stuff

The winner must agree to the same Terms and Conditions which apply to all our trips.

This trip has absolutely no cash value. So, if the winner is unable to travel for any reason, no part of the trip will be given as cash. But, because I am very easy to work with, the winner may transfer the trip to anyone up to three months before the scheduled departure. After that time, the trip will be forfeited.

We reserve the right to disqualify anyone for any reason we see fit. -We have no intention to disqualify anyone, but need to be able to if someone gets out of hand!

How to Win

Each entry will be assigned a number. (See example)

In the example above, I am number 1. You will be assigned a different number for each entry.

Don’t get too concerned with your number(s). If someone is disqualified, or someone removes their comment, your number may change.

At 4:00 PM EST on Holy Thursday, April 9, 2009, I will be turning off the comments. Whatever number(s) you have at that time, should not change again.

On Easter Sunday, I will randomly select one entry from the comment box using Random.org. After verifying that the entry is valid, I will notify the winner by email, so please use a valid email address when leaving your comment! The winner will have 24 hours to respond. If I do not hear back from the winner in 24 hours, I will pick another using the same method.

I will announce and congratulate the winner here as soon as the person is notified.

—Update— We may try to pick the winner live on Easter Sunday! Keep checking back for updates!
