I need prayers. You need prayers. The world needs prayers.
One can pray anywhere, of course, but I live in Rome where there are some pretty cool churches. I am surrounded by holy relics, miraculous images, and the tombs of many saints.
For nine days, starting on July 30th, I’d like to take your prayers with me to nine significant churches across Rome.
As this is the Jubilee Year of Mercy, I will follow the four designated Jubilee routes as much as possible and visit two of the three Jubilee churches.
I would love for you to join me on this Roman Novena.
If you’d like for me to pray for you, please send me your intentions, I will write each one down and bring them with me every day.
If you’d like to pray with me, while I admit this is a bit of a hodgepodge novena, I will be praying specifically several official novenas and the Rosary, as well as attending daily Mass and Adoration.
If you’d like to pray for me, that would be much appreciated.
I’ll begin each morning by climbing the Scala Santa, the stairs Jesus climbed when He was condemned to death.
Next I’ll visit the original image of Our Lady of Perpetual Help at the church of Sant’Alfonso.
Then I’ll head down the street to Saint Mary Major to pray before the image of Salus Populi Romani, the protectress of the Roman people.
I’ll follow the Jubilee Camino of Mary as I head to Santa Maria sopra Minerva to pray at the tomb of Saint Catherine, the Patroness of Europe.
It’s a short walk over to Sant’Agostino where I’ll pray at the tomb of Saint Monica and visit Madonna del Parto, Our Lady of Childbirth.
From here I’ll pick up the Jubilee Camino of Mercy to stop by the Jubilee church of San Salvatore in Lauro where I’ll visit a relic of Saint Jude, as we all have some hopeless causes.
Following the Pilgrim’s Camino I’ll stop by the Jubilee church of San Giovanni dei Fiorentini where I’ll pray at the literal foot of Saint Mary Magdalene.
Then I’ll cross the Tiber as I follow the Papal Camino. I’ll detour just a bit to pray at the image of Divine Mercy at Santo Spirito in Sassia.
I’ll wrap up the day with Mass and Adoration at Saint Peter’s Basilica.
