Saint Peter’s Basilica is not a museum, but with thousands of visitors shuffling through each day, it can sometimes feel like it. Take a break and give thanks for being in such a beautiful place.
You should sign up for one of my day tours of Catholic Rome.
Adoration is in the Chapel of the Blessed Sacrament, on the right side of the basilica. This area is roped off, and behind a curtain. Don’t be shy, and let the attendant know you are there for prayer. It sometimes gets crowded, and you may need to wait for others to exit. Be patient.
Hours of Adoration
Monday – Saturday
Following the 8:45 a.m. Mass, and until Benediction at 4:45 p.m.
Perhaps after a time of reflection, you’d like to make a confession. Reconciliation is available in Saint Peter’s Basilica as well.
